OUR SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Criteria for Opportunity: Eligibility, Support, and Our Focus on Resilience.

AWARD DETAILS

The foundation operates with a 2 million dollar endowment, allowing approximately 200,000 per year to be granted across 4–10 scholarships.

Base Scholarship

Awards range from $5,000 to $25,000 per student per year.

Full-Need Scholarship

Awarded on a case-by-case basis, this scholarship covers the remaining unmet financial need up to an established cap (e.g., $40,000 per year).

Disbursement

All funds are paid directly to the educational institution (not to the student’s checking account) to cover tuition, fees, books, and approved program costs.

Renewal

For multi-year awards, annual renewal requires maintaining a 2.5+ GPA, submitting an updated transcript, an updated financial aid letter, and a short progress update.

Eligibility & Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1

Demonstrate Significant Financial Need:

This may include limited family income (under $X) or extenuating circumstances such as homelessness, foster care, or a lack of parental support. Financial need is evaluated holistically.
2

Come from an Underrepresented or Underserved Background:

Priority may be given to first-generation students, minority applicants, those raised without parents, foster youth, or residents of low-income zip codes.
3

Be Pursuing Any Accredited Educational Path:

This includes 4-year universities, 2-year community colleges, trade/vocational programs, certificate programs (like EMT, welding, cybersecurity), and nursing, teaching, or technical Master’s programs.
4

Show Strong Academic Potential:

We look for resilience, talent, initiative, and growth, evaluating the whole person rather than requiring straight A’s.
5

Be Age 16+ and a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident:

DACA students are fully eligible. Current students may apply if they have at least one year remaining in their program and still demonstrate need.
